KLH Industries is currently seeking a first shift 5-Axis CNC Machinist at our Germantown, WI Facility. You will be working with the latest high tech precision equipment in a clean climate controlled environment. We are willing to train on latest software and machining equipment including 5-Axis milling and 9-axis turn/mill.

Job Description:

A minimum of 2 – 5 years of previous CNC 5-Axis Machining Center experience

Setups, and program edits

Work from engineering drawings

Collaborates with technical personnel to research and resolve problems

Uses precision measuring instruments to verify finished work piece

Complies with equipment and regulatory safety instructions

Treat all colleagues, customers, vendors, and visitors with inherent respect and professionalism.

Required Qualifications:

3 to 5 years of machining experience

Experience with tool pathing software

Experience with 3d modeling software

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Good math skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with MasterCAM

Experience with SolidWorks

Knowledgeable in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing

Experience with JobBOSS a plus

ISO 9001:2015 Registered, Clean and Air Conditioned Shop. All new/late-model Citizen / Miyano equipment. Family atmosphere. Growing company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow Set up sheets, load programs, install tools, make changes/adjustments to programs, prove out new programs, etc.

Programming knowledge a plus.

Load bar-stock.

Make offset changes as necessary.

First article inspection.

A High Level of Quality and Attention to Detail is a Must.

Must understand G-Code.

Knowledge of speeds and feeds for cutting tools.

Run secondary machines or auxiliary operations when applicable.

This position requires machinist to run, oversee, be responsible for multiple machines.

Use a variety of precision instruments to set-up and inspect work. Complete all required documentation accurately

Strong math skills and blueprint reading.

Strong computer skills.

Physical Demands: Must be able to be able to be on feet for entire shift. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Must be able to complete all tasks required in essential duties.

Job Title: CNC Machinist

Reporting to the Team Leader in charge, the CNC Machinist is responsible for completing the required machining operations for special orders, secondary operations on production components, and primary operations on CNC machined components.  

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Runs production by loading mechanism by lifting stock into position and cycling the machine.  Does so through safe operations and adhering to safety procedures and regulations
2. Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to applicable quality, customer, and company standards.
3. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer and work instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and making suggestions for repairs.
4. Assure product and production environment meets company and customer expectations of quality, productivity, organization and workmanship.  

5. Accurately report production data, including recommendations for engineering changes as appropriate.

6. Assist team leaders, programmer, and peers as directed, to include fixture building and die component creation or maintenance.

7. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

1. Minimum of a high school education and two or more years of machining experience including the completion of equivalent training and/or on-the-job experience.
2. Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use shop math (i.e. algebra, trig and geometry).
3. Familiar with milling and turning tools, offset adjustment and tool replacement.
4. G code and M code proficient

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions.
2. Ability to use precise measuring devices incidental to operations such as ruler, calipers, micrometers, and square and fixed gauges.
3. Ability to work independently and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
